Welcome to the official website for the Langley Legion BR 21 Pipes & Drums.  The Langley Legion Pipeband is a self-supporting/non-profit organization dedicated in promoting, teaching and playing the Highland bagpipes and drums at a high standard in the Langley and BC Lower Mainland areas.

Under the direction of our new Pipe Major Kevin Sutherland,  and Drum Major David Bruce, the band will be headed in a new direction strongly based on performance and presentation.  This will include some dynamic changes to the music arrangements that will provide an enjoyable listening experience for everyone.

The band practices every Wed. evening 7:30 to 9:30.

The band is a performance based band with a strong emphasis on the quality of the sound produced.  This will provide a new platform that will showcase the band, and also introduce a new dimension to the band with solo, duet, and small group performances.

We are also involved in the community through the various parades and events that we perform in throughout the year.  We also compete annually at the British Columbia Legion Highland Games.

The band is currently recruiting experienced pipers and drummers. Anyone interested in attending one of our practices, or is interested in becoming a member is encouraged to contact us through the contact page. 

The band is also accepting new pipers and drummers with little or no experience.  Private lessons are however strongly encouraged in order to accommodate a more smooth transition into a full performance member.  On-site lessons can be arranged.

The full band quartets, pairs, or individual pipers and drummers are also available for private performances.  Please contact us through the contact page for more information and availability.
